We’re do we start with Social Media Marketing
By Colin Boyd • Feb 22nd, 2008 • Category: NewsI get asked a lot by people interested in social media marketing we’re do they get started and my answers are usually based around the way their organization is setup.
Finding out if your organization is social media friendly is the first step.
- Would you allow anyone in your organization to talk on your behalf?
- Would you allow anyone in your organization the time to communicate online?
- Do you trust them?
- Does your organization make it easy for other members to come up with idea’s?
- Younger members are more likely to be already involved online
- Does your organization reward members for forging new paths?
- Is your organization open to public customer feedback, both good and bad?
- Does your organization have the ability to respond quickly to online messages?
If you want to allow a customer to publicly leave a good feedback then you must have a process for quickly dealing with bad feedback.
Once you can honestly answered these questions then your organization will be ready to make the most of the Social Media landscape.
